GCIS - EMAIL what program and version

First determine if you are using Netscape Navigator, Netscape Communicator, Internet Email, or Outlook Express. If you use another program you know more about it that I do! Note: If you use Windows 3.0 or 3.1 you probably are using Netscape 2 or 3.

1. Look at the main screen and see which icons are there.

Note that on this screen, there are several Icons. The Inbox icon indicates Internet Mail the 3 netscape Icons are for various versions of netscape

2. Find the program from the Programs listing in this case Internet Mail

Or in this case Outlook express

Notice in these examples Netscape was also a possible choice.

Or if you are only used to getting into mail from Internet Explorer,

Go to mail on the menu, and choose read mail which starts up the mail program

If you Know you are using Netscape and are unsure what version, you can go to Help and choose about Communicator (or Navigator) and then a version number will come up.

Once you know what program or version of Netscape, go to one of the following choices

Netscape 2 or 3	Netscape 4.0x	Netscape 4.5 up
Internet Mail	Outlook Express	Still don't know call for help
