Introduction
The purpose of this document is to guide you through the setup of a dial-up account on a computer running Windows Vista.
Getting Started
  1. Go to the Control Panel from the Start Menu (Figure 1).

  1. Click on "Network and Internet".

  1. Click on "Network and Sharing Center" (Figure 3).

  1. Click on "Set up a connection or network" under Tasks (Figure 4).

  1. Select "Set up a dial-up connection" (Figure 5).

    1. Use the following configuration settings (Figure 6).
    • Dial-up phone number: 887-1106 (in Grand county)  see National numbers at our national telephone list
    • User name: Your Account name (ie  jimk@gcis.com)
    • Password: Your Account password
    • Connection Name: GCIS
    Note: Check the "Remember this password" box if you would like Windows to remember your password
    and allow other people to use the connection if more than one person uses the computer.

    1. Click "Create".
    You have now created a dial-up connection to Grand County Internet Services.  You may now access the internet through this connection.
